Awakenus is truly US - we all make it happen.Β
I'm so incredibly thankful to see how you as participants have perpetuated a beautiful culture of creativity, celebration, self-expression and of course...so much light and love. It's been a wonderful experience to see the festival grow and thrive.

Awakenus is a community and not-for-profit event in which everyone co-creates together. All participants must be ticketed; the organization is not providing free tickets to organizers, artists, workshop hosts, and other co-creators. Any funds that do not go towards event costs are allocated towards a Conscious Creativity Fund to support artists.Β

Awakenus is a camping festival that encourages:

>> Like a "burn" festival, we encourage radical self-expression, gifting, volunteering, and the formation of theme camps. Β Learn more about theme camps.Β
>> Unlike a true "burn" festival, artists will be able to sell merch, and licensed food vendors will be able to sell food.Β
>> Participation means you contribute to the festival as your best self bringing your creativity and gifts to share with others.
>> We are dedicated to the safety and well-being of our participants. Fire safety and harm reduction are important aspects of the festival.Β

Awakenus Community Agreements
(to be continuously reformed by our participants)
1) Harmony
Show up as your best self and be prepared to contribute to positive experiences at the festival. Be excellent to each other; kindness is key.
2) Creativity & Self-Expression
Awakenus is a safe place to relinquish normalcy and immerse yourself in the arts. Participate in the festival; donβt just observe it.Β
3) Consent
Consent is a non-negotiable necessity for a safe environment. Your consent is key - your NO is a complete sentence, and your YES is yours alone - and asking consent is mandatory.
4) Respect
Please practice respect for yourself, others, and the campground.Β Respect festival organizers and festival rules including NO DRIVING on the festival grounds after you park and entering during established gate hours. Respect the land - leave it better than you found it. Donβt hurt the plants!
5) Safety & Well-Being
You are responsible for your personal safety and well-being during this festival. Do not misuse or abuse substances. Take care of your basic needs, and watch out for the safety of others. Stay hydrated! Please visit B.A.S.S. Camp for harm reduction tips.
6) Sustainability
You agree to uphold the festivalβs mission of sustainability by reducing your impact at the event. Please look for opportunities to repurpose materials and bring non-disposable utensils, plates, and cups for meals. This is a LEAVE NO TRACE event. Please sort all recyclables and take them with you.
